Model of a Joshua Hendy Blake type rock breaker. The Blake crusher was the most common type of crusher used in the mill industry. It consists of a strong iron frame, supporting upright convergent iron jaws which are actuated by a revolving eccentric shaft. The model crusher consists of 14 highly detailed white metal castings, wire, and spring. On the O scale model, with a magnifying glass, you can see the name plate on the front frame which reads "JOSHUA HENDY IRON WORKS, S.F. CA.".
