1:20.3 Log Deck Equipment
Our log deck equipment kit MF-106 is no longer available. We have split the kit into three different kits since many modelers did not need all three parts of our original log deck equipment kit. It now consists of kit MF-108 the log deck log turner, MF-109 the overhead log turner with steel cant hook, and kit MF-110 the log deck transfer chains to move logs toward the log carriage. Each kit includes all of the pulleys, bearings, gears and controls that would be needed to install and operate it. The equipoment is modeled after that used in the McLean Sawmill located on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada.

The log turner has a toothed bar made of heavy steel that is
activated by means of a chain operating through a series of pulleys and
wound around a drum. As the bar is raised its teeth engage the
side of a log and turn it toward the carriage knees. The top picture is a side view and the bottom a front view of the base of the log turner.
