Belmont-Miles Car-Wheel Borer
The car-wheel borer was purchased second hand for the Sierra Railroad
shop in 1909. The kit consists of 34 detailed white metal castings
including overhead drive pulleys, belt material, wire, and chain. The 12
page instruction booklet includes detailed AutoCAD drawings as well as a
complete description of how the machine is used. A color photograph is
included for paint reference. The models stands 2 1/8" high and
needs a floor space of 2"x2 1/2". This machine would be found
wherever freight or passenger car wheels were repaired. |
