Western Scale Models offers a full line of machine shop tools for your layout. The machines are appropriate for use in machine shops for railroads, mines, or manufacturing facilities on your railroad. The kits are modeled after machines in the Sierra Railroad shop, now part of Railtown 1897 State Historic Park in Jamestown, California. They were purchased in the early 1900's and are still in use today. Each kit consists of detailed white metal castings including pulleys, hangers, and belt material for the overhead drive. To help you better understand the machines, Western Scale Models also publishes a 40 page book explaining how each machine works and is used.
