Big Horn Gold Mill Equipment
THIS KIT IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE
Big Horn Gold Mill
The Big
Horn Gold Mill is located in the Inyo Mountains of Eastern California at the
site of a gold mine that was operated on and off from the 1880's until the
1930's. The equipment used at the mill site is common to any small mill
operations. Except for a small shed to cover the concentrating table and
electric motor, all equipment was left out in the open. The kit includes 150
white metal castings, basswood strips, code 55 rail for a grizzly, wire, and springs. The kit includes 2 ore bins with
working gates, rock crusher, 3-stamp battery, Wilfley concentrating table, dummy
electric motor, switch box, and pulleys, hangers and bearings for belt
operation. A 50-page instruction booklet includes comprehensive assembly
information as well as material on gold mill operations, including 40 figures
with exploded views of all equipment.
Critical Praise
"After all is finished, and you have added scenery and all the
accompanying details, the result is awesome."
