The prototype frame
still stands at the Empire Mine in Grass Valley, California. It
stands over 19" high. The hoist house contains a double drum hoist 8 ft. in
diameter. It includes post brakes, band clutch, air clutch and brake cylinders,
a 225 HP (dummy) electric motor, an operator's platform with control levers, and
much more. The headframe includes two 24" gauge tracks with two operating ore
cars. A minimum of 39"x12"x19" high is needed for the O scale model
