Western Scale Models has produced a line of mining kits over the years.  We currently have the interior for a complete 10-stamp gold mill. The interior kits are avaialble as separate kits along with mine ore cars and other mining models to add to your layout.  We also have two books on gold mills that will help you develop realistic mining scenes. 

 

Mining Detail Kits

Our 20-stamp gold mill kits are no longer available.  However, the interior detail parts are available as separate kits and can be used to build a mill interior of any size.  Refer to the table below to determine what kits you will need based on the size mill you plan to construct.  You may also find the book "Modeling the Mining Industry, Gold and Silver Stamp Mills" and the book "Gold and Silver Stamp Mills: A Detailed look at Mill Interiors with emphasis on the Standard Gold Mill Bodie, California" helpful in designing your mill.

This kit is no longer available but you can build it using our gold mill interior kits and the instructions and templates in our Gold Mill book P-4 "Modeling the Mining Industry: Gold and Silver Stamp Mills".
